Scope of COREP: Who does COREP affect?
COREP covers the capital requirements and own funds reporting based on Directives 2006/48/EC and 2006/49/EC and affects firms that fall within the scope of the Capital Requirements Directive (CRD IV).
The COREP reporting regime applies to all regulated investment firms and credit institutions in the European Union at a consolidated, sub-consolidated and entity reporting level.
All firms in the UK that are regulated under the FCA’s Prudential sourcebook of BIPRU must undertake COREP reporting. Hence, the following will all fall within the scope of COREP reporting requirements:
